The Art of Being a Hellene

On Thursday, October 12, 2023, Kyrenia Opera will present The Art of Being a Hellene, honoring Mr. Nicos Paphitis with the Kyrenia Award in recognition of his commitment to the impact of the arts on humanity.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. During the seated dinner to follow, Kyrenia Opera’s soloists, chorus and orchestra will perform unforgettable gems made famous by Greek cultural icons Maria Callas, George Dalaras, Demetris Mitropanos, Yiannis Poulopoulos and Anna Vissi.
Funds raised from the gala will provide support for outstanding performances, scholarship, educational outreach and artistic exchange between New York, Cyprus and Vienna. Together we can ensure that Kyrenia Opera remains a vibrant and resilient artistic presence.
